Need Some Magic?

Lets face it, the world is feeling a little less magical lately. There is a new normal and sadly that normal includes every Disney Park being closed. Many of my loved ones were furloughed today and while Mickey may not be walking down Main Street USA we all are working hard to find ways to make the days less dreadful. I for example am currently sitting here listening to the Toy Story Mania area loop music and doing a Pizza Planet Alien matcha face mask. (Sadly its just a plain white mask so there is no ridiculous photo to include in this post)

While its a small thing, its the kind of thing that makes my day a little brighter and I think that is something we all need right now. Something to break up the mundane and bring a bit of light. SO here are a few things that I have found the past weeks that I hope will bring a bit of light to your life through all this.

SNACKS!

Disney is known for their snacks and one good thing coming out of all the chaos is that Disney is releasing recipes for their cult favorite snacks. I'm gunna link the Dole Whip recipe and hope your face as as happy as mine in this pic

CREATIVE PROJECTS!

I am a creator at heart and feel most at peace when I am making things. I personally spent a couple hours on Zoom the other day with my Fantasyland CP family and making Mickey shaped confetti. My biggest thing I'm making during all of this? Ears of course! I have an Etsy store and have been testing new ideas and planning releases for the upcoming months. MOVIES!

So I know I'm not the only one who has been binge watching and thanking the powers that be that Disney+ is a thing! I have been making my way through various movies both beloved and new to me. I've been introducing a close friend to the Disney catalog. (HE HAD NEVER SEEN BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!!!!!) My top reccomendations for those interested are The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Onward and the Imagineering Story. I'm also super stoked for when the new show Prop Culture! I am a nerd for all the history and backstory behind movies and the parks.

Overall I'm just trying to get by and hope you are doing the same. Things are nuts and hopefully we will all soon be able to crowd onto Main Street, munch on a churro and wave as the three o'clock parade rolls on by. Til then, wishing you all faith, trust and pixie dust.
